What Is Match?
Match is a program that compares powder diffraction patterns to reference patterns for phase identification. It uses the well-known Rietveld program FullProf to perform these calculations, and features several unique features.
The application's biggest draw is its ability to perform diffraction and interference experiments in 3D real-time. It's a powerful tool for researchers and scientists, especially those working with nanomaterials.
It also includes a number of other useful features, such as the ability to conduct probabilistic record linkages and a built-in diffraction simulator. It's easy to use, and can be used for a wide range of research applications.
Another important feature is the ability to use reference patterns calculated from free-of-charge crystal structure data. These can be obtained from the COD ("Crystallography Open Database") website.
There are many other helpful tools in the app, such as a colour matcher for web designers and logo makers. The program is simple to use, and displays the values of colours in a variety of formats, from CMYK to hex, HSV and HTML.
The application is free to download, but you'll need to register to access the online support portal. You can do so by signing in with the Apple ID and password that you use with iTunes Match on your Mac or PC. Once you're registered, you can access support via email or chat. The application also includes a status indicator that lets you know when it's scanning your music library. You can also pause or resume the scan at any time.
